DON’T TAKE MY WORD FOR IT!
Writing as a therapy option has long been studied, tested, and proven as a successful opportunity for those seeking to improve their mental and physical health. Here is a lengthy list of nearly 130 scientific research studies and book publications combining decades of research to demonstrate the successful outcomes of writing as a therapy in various settings, conditions, and with various clients/patients. Research spanning scientific, medical, and psychological journals, including the Journal of the American Medical Association (JAMA), Harvard University Press, Columbia University, and the American Psychological Association (APA) is all referenced. This is a long-studied and applicable treatment option.
There should be no doubt that therapeutic writing in various forms is a proven therapy option with a very low cost of entry for a variety of personal issues and people.
