Write Now Therapy is designed to be a self-guided experience. However, I understand that some situations and issues would benefit from personal mental health support. From my own personal experience, I understand there are situations where a mental health professional would greatly benefit a situation.
As a mental health coach, I work with you to set goals, benchmarks, and a guided plan for self-improvement, healing, and discovery. I also work to hold you accountable to your plan and your goals. It is a very personal, professional relationship where we work one-on-one. You have goals, and my only objective is to ensure you meet those goals.
The average person likely does not require, have access to, or want traditional therapy. Mental health coaching is different from traditional therapy. I do not offer the traditional therapy you would receive from an MTF or psychologist. If I believe you could benefit from a traditional therapist or other specialist, I will recommend one for you through the course of our sessions. I have the full respect for and acknowledge the need for MFTs, psychologists, other counselors, and medical professionals as aids to health and healing. I work with my clients in an approachable way, and together we can determine if their needs require traditional professional attention.
